北京宣和书画院副院长纪向寰，喜爱熊猫，多年研究熊猫，为此创作创新出300多幅“国宝大熊猫画”，受到社会各界广泛关注。
纪向寰创新的“熊猫画”，显著区别于其它传统“熊猫画”，从不把“竹子”跟“熊猫”绘制在一起，避开了熊猫的“吃货”特征。熊猫虽然爱吃，但是“艺术来源于生活，同时却又高于生活”。
纪向寰把“大熊猫”与各类动、植物之间的关系，广泛深刻地展现出来……她根据“熊猫醉水”的传说，让“大熊猫”和各种“鱼类”甚至是各类“水生动物”眉目传情!因为熊猫只“喝水”而从不“伤鱼”。画中的“大熊猫”与松鼠、白兔、猴子、梅花鹿……结为伙伴，体现出熊猫做为“伴生动物”，与各种陆地动物的和谐相处。她创新型作品中的大熊猫，甚至跟凤凰、孔雀、天鹅、仙鹤、苍鹭、白鸽、翠鸟等各种鸟类，产生深厚的友谊，呈现出一种浪漫主义色彩!画作中的大熊猫对待植物，是以“对美好事物”的欣赏来表现的……更为新颖的是，纪向寰把熊猫与蝴蝶、蜻蜓、蜜蜂、瓢虫等昆虫之间最为“丰富细腻”的情感，淋漓尽致地表达出来，非常打动人心!
